Publishing contact details for childminders on the Ofsted website: consent form and Q&A

30 Jan 2012

Ofsted is currently writing to all childminders to ask them whether they would like their name, address and telephone number published on this website.

Having your details published will allow parents to find inspection reports for your service more easily than they can currently. At present, all childminder reports are displayed anonymously.

Parents currently have to contact their local authorities for childminder details. If you want to have your details published on the website complete the consent form that was attached to the letter or download it below. A Q&A document is also available, below, as is the letter sent to childminders.

If you have further queries, have not received your letter or have lost it, please email us at enquiries@ofsted.gov.uk or call 0300 123 1231. If you do not wish to have your details published you do not need to take any action. We hope to publish details of those who have consented from September 2012.
